8 March 2017 witnessed the significant event in which a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SEAMEO CELLL and SEAMEO SEN was signed at SEAMEO CELLL’s office.
SEAMEO Regional Centre for Special Education (SEAMEO SEN) is a regional centre that specialises in education to support the needs of children with different disabilities, gifted and talented children in Southeast Asia.
The MoU, signed by Datin Dr Yasmin binti Hussain, SEAMEO SEN Director and Mr Le Huy Lam, SEAMEO CELLL Director, is acknowledged as a significant step forward mutual cooperation in implementation of research, capacity building, projects, bilateral academic exchange, consultations on relevant research, training, and other learning events in the upcoming future.
This ceremony was also an occasion wherein Mr Lam extended the Centre’s sincerest gratitude towards SEAMEO SEN in general and Datin Dr Yasmin Hussain in particular for their invaluable assistance and encouragement ever since SEAMEO CELLL was in the very first steps of operation. In return, Datin Dr Yasmin Hussain expressed her pleasure at this MoU being signed and hoped that cooperation between the two centres would be considerably enhanced. Also, Dr Yasmin shared her experiences in resolving operational difficulties SEAMEO SEN has been through which indeed become valuable lessons for SEAMEO CELLL to learn from.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
