​SEAMEO CELLL ATTENDS WORKSHOP “REGIONAL TRAINING OF TRAINERS ON USING SOFT SKILLS IN NON-FORMAL EDUCATION”​

Phnom Penh, Cambodia (22-27 February 2016)

​A delegation of five members from SEAMEO CELLL, Continuing Education Departments (MOET, DOET Ho Chi Minh City, and DOET Dong Nai Province) attended the workshop “Regional Training of Trainers on Using Soft skills in Non-formal education” in Phnom Penh, Cambodia under the sponsor of DVV International .

The training workshop has been delivered by PRIA trainers (Participatory Research in Asia, India) for 17 participants came from non-formal orgnisations in Cambodia, Lao and Vietnam.

 

The objectives of the training are (a) developing perspectives and skills on participatory training methodologies, (b) developing an understanding on application of soft skills in non-formal education, (c) developing skills to facilitate training on application of soft skill in non-formal education.

​The content of the training consists of (a) the concepts of soft skills, (b) perspective  on adult learning and participatory training, (c) training methods in participatory training, (d) team building, leadership, decision making, communication and collaboration and conflicts in teams.

Suggestions for improvement the training design contents also has been exchanged at the final session of the training workshop which included a handbook for the trainer-to-be should be published for future regional trainings.
