On invitation from the University of Tsukuba, SEAMEO CELLL Director and Deputy director went on a mission to Japan from 14 to 18 of March 2016.
SEAMEO CELLL delegation was met by Dr Mariko Sato, Director of CRICED (Center for Research on International Cooperation in Education Development) , Dr. Isoda Masami and Dr.Teuchi Akitoshi at the CRICED Office, University of Tsukuba, where they also gave presentations on SEAMEO CELLL: Promoting LLL in ASEAN Countries and Community Learning Centres in Vietnam: Development and Challenges to a small audience of interested professors and students.
The delegation was then kindly guided by Professor Dr.Teuchi Akitoshi and Dr Kazuaki Tani, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, for a study visit to Musashino Place, Kokubunji Honda Community Center and Musashino Honcho Community Center. At these places, Mr Lam and Ms Chi observed the facilities in action and met with the management for information exchange.
The University of Tsukuba also kindly offers a grant to two SEAMEO CELLL staff members to visit and do research at its facilities for a duration of two months each, starting later this year of 2016.
